Download Free Associates: Vibraphone Etudes

The vibraphone etudes in Free Associates are meant to foster and expand creativity and free improvisation on the instrument.  Presented as a series of graphic illustrations, each work is to be interpreted with great freedom.

The works are written for a standard 3-octave vibraphone.  The numbers 1 through 37 on each etude correspond to chromatic pitches.  1 represents the lowest pitch while 37 is the highest.  The performer is free to choose whatever implement they deem appropriate to interpret the imagery.
